The film follows Inka Länta and her family of reindeer herders in northern Sweden as they struggle to survive the harsh winter months. Documentary sequences and staged scenes combine to create an intimate portrait of the traditional way of life in this region. The beautiful landscape provides a breathtaking backdrop for domestic rituals, dramatic hunting trips and dramatic twists of fate, which together convey a proud message: survival." (HippFest 2025)

The music, composed especially for the film by Oslo-based pianist Ayumi Tanaka, consists of small ideas and sketches that she explores and develops through improvisation with double bassist Christian Meaas Svendsen and drummer Per Oddvar Johansen. The band switches effortlessly between individual and interactive cadences, expansive soundscapes and intense interplay. The result is a synergetic effect in which three unique voices unfold freely.
