The films in this programme sketch a dystopian world (for whom?) where men take on the roles of women and women take on the roles of men, they celebrate the permeability of gender in the Wild West and they deal with the dangers and pleasures of the big city, with cross-dressing repeatedly providing countless opportunities for accidental same-sex attraction. The films play with the rapid changes in ideas about gender and sexuality taking place during this period, and deal with confusing rituals, masquerades and mistaken identities when joining a bizarre fraternity, or a future when "men are like women" and "women are like men".
The new international trio, which brings together three distinctive artistic characters in Argentinian singer Constanza Pellicci, Transylvanian singer, live electronics and cellist Réka Csiszér and Swiss live electronics and pianist Dadaglobal AKA Katharina Kabel, will present its new setting for the first time on the occasion of the IOIC Argentina Tour in Buenos Aires in December 2023. Beguiling vocals, distorted strings and synthetic corridors meet intricate rhythms.
